45 Luxury Flats
St Austell

A design for 45 luxury flats on a sensitive coastal site which is steeply wooded with its own private beach. To minimise the impact of parking and access, garaging is located beneath the flats. Raising the buildings on stilts also gives a lighter connection with the ground and allows the slope to be cut into without losing daylighting to the flats. The scheme is designed on sustainable principles and allows the potential for prefabrication.

St Joseph's Convent
Charles Church Western (Taunton)

The Grade II* former convent complex dates from 1772-1887 and was converted to 47 apartments. Internal alterations and external accretions were removed to reinstate original volumes and relationships. Glazed mezzanines were introduced into the larger double height spaces to create striking domestic accommodation. A selection of unique homes that have also preserved the historic architecture combining old and new.

Seaways
Inova Homes (Newquay)

The design provides 12 luxury apartments arranged so that each takes advantage of the coastal panorama and adjacent world famous beach. The concept utilises sustainable principles of design and construction.

Barton Lodge
Strongvox Limited (Cerne Abbas)

A unique collection of homes in an historic setting watched over by the Cerne Abbas Giant. The project combined the sensitive conversion and extension of the listed house into 10 apartments together with the creation of 9 new thatched cottages in the large landscaped grounds. The design balanced heritage values against interventions such as for fire and sound seperations in the apartments or for new buildings in the context of a mature landscaped.
